Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

'The Engaging Museum'. Developing Museums for Visitor Involvement.

During this lecture students are asked how to create the highest quality experience possible for museum visitors and how to create an environment that supports visitor engagement with collections. Every stage of a museum visit will be examined from the visitor´s initial impetus to go to a museum, to front-of- house management, to the way collections are displayed. Case studies from the Natural History Museum Vienna are presented to show how ideas are put into practice.
