Aims, contents and method of the course
Der 1. delisch-attische Seebund (478-404 v. Chr.) umfasste einen Großteil der bedeutenden Städte an den Ufern der Ägäis. Jede davon betrieb eine eigene Münzprägung. Durch die Ereignisse während der Pentekontaëtie und im Peloponnesischen Krieg ergeben sich Anhaltspunkte, um diese Prägungen chronologisch zu ordnen und historisch zu interpretieren. Der Kurs greift die interessantesten Fälle heraus und berücksichtigt dabei auch die Prägungen von Rivalen Athens (Korinth, Ägina, persische Satrapen).Ziele: Überblick über die wichtigen Prägungen des Seebundes, über die historischen Eckdaten, über die finanziellen Ressourcen und Ausgaben (attische Baupolitik, Kriegsführung) und die über die für die Chronologie maßgeblichen Hortfunde.Methoden: Wiedergabe des Forschungsstandes anhand ausgewählter Literatur.
