Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Ability to recognise textual patterns as typical for specific genres of monuments in the main phases of Egyptian history;
reading texts from drawings, photographies and originals from collections

Assessment and permitted materials

Participation (1 miss allowed, every additional miss will be deduced with 7,7% from the maximum assessment for the participation part): overall 20%
Active cooperation (prepared reading and translations): 40%
Recapitulation (test) of parts of texts treaed in class: 40%

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Basic knowledge of Middle Egyptian grammar

Minimum percentage for pass: 50 %

Examination topics

Reading and translating portions of the texts that had been treated in class.
