Aims, contents and method of the course

Ziele & Inhalte: Diese Vorlesung beschäftigt sich mit der archäozoologischen Analyse von tierischen Überresten aus Ausgrabungen. Schwerpunkt liegt auf der wirtschaftlichen Interpretation der Daten. Unterschiedlichen Fallstudien vom Neolithikum bis zum Mittelalter aus Mitteleuropa (SchwerpunktÖsterreich) werden diskutiert. Unterschiedliche sozioökonomischen Strukturen und Versorgungsstrukturen werden aufgezeigt.
Methode: Vorlesung in Präsenz. Verwendung der Archäozoologischen Sammlung des Naturhistorischen Museums in Wien für Fallbeispiele.
