Aims, contents and method of the course

The persecution and rejection of Judaism and Jews did not begin in modern times but goes back to antiquity. In the Hellenistic period, Greek, Latin and early Christian authors mark the first epoch of ancient Antisemitism. This lecture surveys the history of ancient Antisemitism and asks what motivated it.
