Aims, contents and method of the course

Ziel dieser Vorlesung ist es, einige Grundlagen der altägyptischen Chronologie zu vemitteln. Insbesondere geht es um die Verbindung von relativer, absoluter und (ab dem späten 4.Jt.v.Chr.) historischer Chronologie aus archäologischer Perspektive sowie den relevanten Quellen und wissenschaftlichen Methoden. Nach einer methodischen Einführung wird das Thema in chronologischer Reihenfolge behandelt.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Um die Prüfung zu bestehen werden eine regelmäßige und aufmerksame Teilnahme der an der LV sowie das Lesen der empfohlenen Literatur empfohlen; für die Note Ausreichend (4) müssen mindestens 50% der Gesamtpunktzahl erreicht werden, Befriedigend (3) ab 65%, Gut (2) ab 75% und Sehr Gut (1) ab 85%.

Examination topics

Der Prüfungsstoff ergibt sich anhand der Themen, Quellen und Interpretationen, die innerhalb der Vorlesung diskutiert werden.
