Aims, contents and method of the course

Bavli Megillah from 9b onward (Mishnah on bottom of the page). The text is in the main a commentary on the book of Esther.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular active participation including the preparation of the text.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Getting familiar with the language and literary character of the Talmud and its biblical hermeneutics.

Examination topics

Common reading, translation and discussion of the selected text.
