A Final Seminar/ debate of the main issues in US Cuba relationsAttendance
Students must meet a minimum of 80% of classTardiness
Students are required to be in class on time. Arriving late disturbs the class as a whole. If a students do arrive late the instructor is required the student as absent

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The main objective is to provide the students with an overview Cuban History and of U.S.-Cuban relations from colonial times to the present, in order to offer the main elements toward the understanding the essence of one of the most long lasting conflict between two nations in the western hemisphere.
The course will also aim at providing the elements to understand the evolution of Cuba towards independence in the Latin American context.
This course will also encourage student participation in presenting and debating complex issues in a scholarly fashion.
