Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture class deals with the emergence and development of Russia from the founding of the empire of Kiev through the Moscow state to the late modern era and the end of the Petersburg empire in 1917. The ethnic and social structure, state structure, rule, economy and the most important cultural trends are discussed. Particular attention is paid to Russia's character as a multi-ethnic empire and the resulting areas of tension. The aim of the course is to provide orientation and overview knowledge.

Sufficient from 50% of max. points.
