Generalthema "Macht und Repräsentation". Der Grundkurs findet am 6.3.2012, 27.3.2012, 17.4.2012 und 19.6.2012 Di 16.00-17.30 im Seminarraum Geschichte 2 statt und am 13.3. und 20.3.2012 Di 16.00-19.00 im Seminarraum Geschichte 4.
! Am Dienstag, dem 24. April 2012, findet der Grundkurs von 15.00 Uhr (s.t.)-17.30 Uhr im Kunsthistorischen Museum statt !
Im April, Mai und Juni finden die schulpraktischen Teile n.Ü. an den beteiligten Schulen statt.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course starts with theoretical units, choice of working themes from political, cultural, social and economic history under the general theme "Power and Representation" and the formation of smaller working groups. A special aim is the development of a virtual excursion through the centre of Vienna. These working groups prepare in some sessions teaching units to the themes chosen and exercise those teaching units in class or in excursions with pupils. The teaching units are discussed and reflected afterwards. The themes and the teaching experience is documented in a final written seminar paper of about 15 pages.

Participation in working groups, teaching units in class, discussion of results, final written seminar paper on the working theme in class and didactic reflection of about 15 pages

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The course conveys basic information and basic methods for teaching history in class and gives practical experience in using these methods in class. A special aim is the development of a virtual excursion through the centre of Vienna.

Examination topics

Lecture parts in theoretical aspects of didactics of history, working groups for preparation of teaching units or excursions and for exercise of these units and reflection of them afterwards, seminar paper for final reflection
