Under 51/100 points is a fail (5, F), 51-62,5 is a 4 (D), 63-74,5 is a 3 (C), 75-87,5 is a 4 (B), 88-110/100 is a 1 (A).
Examination topics
Reading list
On Moodle, including excerpts from Mann and Schwarz, plus the manuals penned by Müller and Lubich. Recorded lectures with pdfs and voice by Buc.

The first and second part of the exam will take place via moodle on the appointed date, but last only for 45 minutes.
The third part of the exam will be take-home, open book. The question you will get on the appointed day (when you get part 1 and 2). You will write it up at home and upload it on Moodle, and you have a week to do this). For this 3rd part, you can use all resources on Moodle (including the manuals) and your class notes. I advise not to use the web or other documents (you are tested on specific materials). And you cannot cooperate with anyone. Your answers go automatically through a program that tests for plagiarism (and may catch cooperation). Plagiarism will be punished.University rules dictate that students have 4 opportunities to take the exam, the first one at the end of the semester of instruction. It is in my opinion a grotesque peculiarity of Austria, but it is so.
