Aims, contents and method of the course

The lectures offer you an overview from the political history of the Middle Ages and the eras of the time of 300-ca.1500. The most important developments - constants and changes of a political and socio-cultural nature are dealt with step by step and with a view to the history of the constitution. In addition, the phenomena are illustrated by examples from the microcosm of regional history. These explain the imperial history and imperial Italy, but also the history of Western Europe, especially France.

Assessment and permitted materials

The performance check is made by a final exam. Several exam dates are offered.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Overview of the eras of the Middle Ages, the content of the lecture and successful passing the exam.

Examination topics

The final exam covers the entire contents of the lecture.

Reading list

The literature will be given in the lecture and partly put on the learning platform. The presence in the sub-units of the lecture is required.
