Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In the first phase, the course deals with fascism, national socialism and right-wing extremism on a theoretical level. Examples that are relevant for school are analyzed and placed in the theoretical context: Italian fascism, National Socialism, fascism and authoritarian corporatist systems. Central to this is also the study of racism ("scientific" racism, cultural racism) as well as contemporary right-wing extremist phenomena. The second phase is dedicated to the didactic implementation of the topic: lesson plans and teaching methods are presented and discussed, and extracurricular places of learning are addressed. In addition, the students create their own lesson plans and materials, which are discussed and critically analyzed in the plenum.
