Aims, contents and method of the course

This Ringvorlesung will give the students a reasonably broad overview of the state of research and working methods in the Digital Humanities. A variety of speakers from different disciplines within the humanities - history, literature, linguistics, art history, archaeology, and more - will discuss what digital methods bring to their own fields, and what they understand the Digital Humanities to be.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment will be by written examination at the end of the course, consisting of free-form short-answer questions. Written notes are allowed; electronic devices are not.
