Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

From a cultural-historical perspective, the salt industry, the development of the tourist region, and the period of National Socialism are analyzed. Myths are deconstructed, the question of memory is discussed, regional and national identity formation is questioned.

Assessment and permitted materials

First reflections on a didactic concept for a certain topic or place of the Salzkammergut (presentation during the excursion)
Final thesis: elaboration of the didactic concept (incl. subject-related content).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Positive grading of the final paper as a basis for a positive degree (70 %)
Grading of the paper (30 %)

Examination topics

The content of the lecture/excursion as well as the obligatory literature
