Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course is offered for English-language-students of Global History. It is organised in four blocks, three of them closely guided by the lecturer in the beginning of the semester, the fourth in more autonomy of the students. The first three will be introductory to the topic, the fourth at the end of the semester is open for the presentation and discussion of students papers. In the first session we will interpret and analyse sources on global history, taking as examples Trade in Early Modern Times and the Second World War. In the second session we shall read together texts on comparing societies, in the third we shall read together texts on the interacting of societies. Student papers for the fourth session will be on the topics of Trade in Early Modern Times and the Second World War.
