Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course is intended to provide basic training and support for further skills courses in the Digital Humanities. It is strongly recommended as preparation for other DH skills courses taught at the university.Students will be required to bring a laptop computer running either the Windows, Macintosh, or Linux operating system (NO TABLETS!) If this presents a problem, please contact the course instructor in advance.
Assessment and permitted materials
Assessment will be based primarily on the amount of active learning done by the student, no matter his or her starting point. Students get equal credit for asking questions as for answering them.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Participation (20%), "question points" (50%), intermittent quizzes (30%). Minimum passing grade is 51%.
