Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Inhalte: The course deal with problems and open questions in the historiography of the British Empire. 3-4 introductory lectures.
Methoden: Introductory talks by lecturer, then oral presentations
Ziele: Students will be expected to research their topic, practise presentation techniques and to complete their written assignment. It is strongly recommended that students consult their lecturer about the progress of their written paper during consultation hours (Sprechststunde).

Assessment and permitted materials

Art der Leistungskontrolle: Oral presentation and 15 or 25 page essay (1,5 spacing) in German or English

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Good attendance, willingness to speak in English, give an oral presentation and complete an essay in the required length
