Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The course is a series of lectures by different national and international speakers (see program). To analyze right-wing and leftist regimes in Latin America and the Caribbean will be the core topic of the course. In particular the course will deal with different types of wielding of power, social institutions and political ideologies. As bigger picture we locate regional as well as local historical processes towards the Cold War.
