Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course offers an overview of Central Asian history centered around its most famous epics and heroes, from Buddhist pilgrims to Central Asian warriors and Monkey kings. The course will address the relation between myth and history, and the role of religion, literature and collective memory in Central Asian medieval societies
