Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

How did psychiatry respond to the consequences of experiences of violence in wars, which were expressed in several mental disorders? This course will go into the matter by discussing discourses in some medical journals. Candidate topics for the students go from World War Second until armed conflicts in the 21st century from medical, scientific and global perspectives.

Assessment and permitted materials

regular presentation in the classes and meetings, writing and presenting a research paper (70.000 characters with spaces and footnotes and an abstract), active participation in all discussions.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

formulation and production of a research paper including the scientific research and the presentation of the results.

Examination topics

acquisition of scientific research in specialized libraries; discussion about the topics.
