How did psychiatry respond to the consequences of experiences of violence in wars, which were expressed in several mental disorders? This course will go into the matter by discussing discourses in some medical journals, mainly, however, by means of archival post-WW II material/patient records.
Assessment and permitted materials
regular presentation in the classes and meetings, writing and presenting a research paper (70.000 characters with spaces and footnotes and an abstract), active participation in all discussions.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
formulation and production of a research paper including the scientific research and the presentation of the results.
Examination topics
acquisition of scientific research in specialized libraries and archives; discussion about the topics.
