Our first meeting will take place on 2.3.2022 between 11.00 am and approximately 5.00 pm via Zoom. In this first unit, we will talk about the topics and the following meetings.The course will take place mainly online with blocked units on Saturdays from 11am to around 5 pm. Zoom will be opend at 10.30 am so that we can "get together" If possible I would be happy to arrange the meetings according to the timetable of the participants. Further a "wlka through the history of the medical university of Vienna" is planned considering the question - buildings as documents of history.

Aims, contents and method of the course

Understanding what historical sources are, in particular in the field of medicine and the sciences.

Assessment and permitted materials

Frequent participation, a written paper and a ppt presentation. According to the SPL requirements, it is compulsory to participate in the first meeting in order to be correctly registrated. This first meeting will take place on March 2nd, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 17.00 via Zoom. The meeting will be opened already at 10.30 in order to get together. Further meetings will be arranged in the first session. Online meetings will be orangised on Saturdays. Vistis to the archives of the University of Vienna and the municipal archives of Vienna are planned too and will be discussed in the first meeting. Further and finaly a "walk through the history of the Medical University of Vienna" shall be arranged considering the question - buildings as documents of history.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Will be defined during the course according to individual goals concerning the content, however, in accordance with the requirements of the curriculum and the SPL, a written paper has to be completed and a presentation has to be given by the end of the semester. Regular attendance is also mandatory according to these requirements
