Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
There is compulsory attendance in the course. Continuous participation in the lessons, preparation of source texts and the handing over of three homework assignments, as well as an exam in the last lesson are prerequisites for a successful completion of the course.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Presence, participation in the lessons, two home exercises, successfully passed exam.

The changeable constants of understanding time, time constructions, networking of religion and historiography, social structures and hierarchy in historiographical texts from the Franconian transitional period to the 12th century as well as selected examples of secondary literature. A focus of the reading are sources for the imperial history of the 10th-12th century. Century.
