Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course is dedicated to the reading and interpretation of different world system theories of authors such as Immanuel Wallerstein, Andre Gunder Frank, Janet Abu-Lughod, Giovanni Arrighi and others. Different narratives of world-system approaches and their theoretical underpinnings will be studied and compared with each other. In addition, the course introduces to primary sources of global history that were important cornerstones for the construction of world-system approaches.
