Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this course students will establish the historical and didactical foundations to work with different kinds of historical sources in and outside schools. A special focus will be laid on the work with historical sources which are available in digital format. The course will be supported by the learning platform moodle.Based on theoretical reflections students will develop teaching material in which the use of historical sources is to be applied and they will present their material in presentations to the whole group. In a paper students will deepen theoretical, empirical or pragmatic questions with regard to the use of historical sources in processes of historical teaching and learning. In this sense, the course combines both engagement in theoretical discourses about using sources in history education with the practical applicability in history teaching.
