Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Today, historical learning no longer develops apart from the manifestations of historical culture - history is more present than ever, and it is more legitimate than ever to speak of an ongoing history boom. On the streaming platforms, in the gaming sector, in countless graphic novels, or on international theater stages: history is actually everywhere and we all come into contact with it in many different ways. As a result, the development of historical-cultural competence, i.e. the ability, skill and willingness, which includes participation in but also reflection on historical cultures, is described as the primary learning objective of history lessons. The seminar wants to get to the bottom of the continuing popularity of feature films with historical content, analyze selected examples based on theory and prepare them for historical learning.
