Guided Reading Eastern European History - A Tsarina on the Road (2022 Summer) Catherine II travels through the Russian Empire - it is not just about the history of the 2nd half of the 18th century, but about questions that transcend epochs, such as mobility, perceptions and administration of appropriated territories as well as their afterlife up to the present (e.g. in the context of the Crimean question since 2014.) . Different methodological and theoretical approaches are presented and applied. Keywords e.g. Russia, Crimea, Volga, Baltic States, mobility, domination, gender history, Empire
