The High Middle Ages in Western Europe
Continuous assessment of course work
Labels
Sources from the 12th and 13th centuries of the European Middle Ages, focus on courtly culture and contact between cultures. The 4 proposed primary sources come from "France" and the "German" Reich. The seminar paper will be based on one among these 4. It is however possible to build a seminar paper using other primary medieval sources from the periods, if the seminar's instructor allows it. An early agreement for this option is necessary.
