Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Ziel der Lehrveranstaltung ist die Vermittlung der Grundlagen von Statistik und Quantifizierung sowie deren praktische Anwendbarkeit in der Geschichtswissenschaft. Anhand ausgewählter Quellen (Volkszählungen, Wirtschaftsdaten, Opfererhebungen) wird der Umgang mit statistischen Daten sowie deren Interpretation und Aufbereitung für wissenschaftliche Zwecke geübt. Ein Schwerpunkt bei der Themenwahl wird dabei auf die Geschichte Osteuropas gelegt. Da der Kurs eLearning-gestützt durchgeführt wird, sind EDV-Grundkenntnisse erforderlich.

Assessment and permitted materials

Mitarbeit, regelmäßige Tests und Übungen, abschließende schriftliche Prüfung.
