Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Fear and Anxieties are affective responses to danger, Psychoanalysis also supposes their basic function in regulating psychosocial equilibrium. Psychic structures as well as the social institutions change throughout history and with them the quality of fear and anxieties and their motivational potential in human behaviour.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Grundkenntnisse der Psychoanalyse im Hinblick auf innere und aüßere Angstverhältnisse.

Basic knowledge of psychoanalytic theory in regard to fear and anxiety in their psychic and historical dimension.

Examination topics

Lectures, reading assignements and discussions in small goups, group reports and final papers.
