Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar aims at accompanying ongoing theses that discuss various topics in the history of medicine, in particular ways of compin with health and sickness in a social, cultural and economic context, but also considering scientific developments in medicine and in the natural sciences. The ongoing work on the theses will presented and discussed with colleagues, regarding current progess, but also difficulties that might arise regarding the ongoing research. are discussed. The course will be held in hybrid form, with regular online meetings, sometimes also medical students might be invited to open up the opportunity of an exchange of ideas. At the end of the semester, we might meet up for a final personal meeting or an excursion to a relevant site of interest.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular and actively participating attendance, presentations or written elaborations of concepts, ideas or results of the ongoing resercah or of specific chapters.

Regular participation, especially in discussions and presentations, elaboration of chapters
