Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Die Lehrveranstaltung dient dem Zweck, bisher erlangte Kenntnisse über irische Geschichte, Literatur und Politik zu vertiefen und richtet sich an Studenten, die im SS 2006 bzw. WS 2006/07 die chronologische Vorlesung zur Geschichte Irlands besucht haben, sowie an Anglisten und sonstige Interessenten. Unterrichtssprache ist Englisch. Die Vorlesungen beleuchten den historischen Hintergrund von bestimmten Texten aus dem 20. Jahrhundert in Irland - Kurzgeschichten, Romane, Memoiren und politische Abhandlungen:

Heroes and Heroines
Anfang Februar 2008 (siehe VVZ) findet eine Exkursion nach Dublin statt. Schriftliche Prüfungen finden Ende Januar 2008 sowie im SS 2008 (dreimal) statt. Die KandidatInnen müssen Fragen zu zwei der o.a. Themen beantworten, entweder auf englisch oder auf deutsch.
