Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course treats "Orient and Occident in the Middle Ages" and the relations and view of the other between East and West from the partitions of the Later Roman Empire over the relations between Byzantium and the latin West, the changes in the mediterrenean world by the Arab expansion and the crusades to the uprise of the Osman empire and the fall of Byzantium.

Papers presented orally, participation in the debates, written essays

Deepened knowledge of the problems of this theme, the sources of and the historiography over it
