Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Vienna has established itself as a prominent destination for contemporary art, in part due to the extensive and diverse range of exhibitions it offers. The objective of the course is to provide participants with an overview of the various Viennese contemporary exhibition institutions, from the classical museum to the Kunstverein to the off-space, and to categorise them according to their academic characteristics. This will facilitate an understanding of the respective artistic agendas and the programming of the various spaces, as well as an analysis of specific works of art in the context of their exhibition presentation.
