Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

In the Bachelor's seminar, a final thesis (Bachelor's thesis) of usually around 55,000 characters (including spaces) is to be written. This empirical-ethnographic or historical research project on a clearly defined topic will be supported and commented on in its conception and realisation in front of the plenum, through structured peer feedback procedures and in individual consultation hours as well as accompanying. The most important work steps (to be presented and discussed in the seminar) are the selection of a specific research question and the methodology adapted to it, the exploration of the state of research, followed by the generation, processing and evaluation of material and finally (by the end of the semester) the writing up of the results.

Anwesenheit: Die Lehrveranstaltung ist prüfungsimmanent
- Zwei Einheiten können unentschuldigt versäumt werden.
- Häufige Verspätungen (bzw. frühzeitiges Gehen) werden als eine Abwesenheit gewertet.

Abgaben:
Während der Lehrveranstaltung gibt es punktuell den Arbeitsprozess unterstützende Abgaben die gemeinsam im Seminar befeedbackt werden.

BA-Arbeit:
Selbständige Forschungsarbeit und Abfassung einer betreuten Abschluss-Arbeit von in der Regel 55.000 Zeichen (inklusive Leerzeichen).

ACHTUNG: Die Verwendung von KI-basierten Hilfsmitteln ist grundsätzlich nicht gestattet, jedoch nicht gänzlich ausgeschlossen. Wir werden einige Tools ausprobieren um deren Vorteile und Limitationen zu verstehen. Wenn KI-Tools zum Einsatz kommen muss dieser gründlich dokumentiert sowie argumentiert werden und ausdrücklich von der LV-Leitung erlaubt werden.

Grundlage der Beurteilung ist die schriftliche BA-Arbeit.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Für den erfolgreichen Abschluss der LV sind zumindest 51 von 100 Punkten zu erreichen.

> = 92 sehr gut (1)
> = 80 gut (2)
> = 65 befriedigend (3)
> = 51 genügend (4)
< 51 nicht genügend (5)
