Aims, contents and method of the course

The exercise course is based on the topics and content of the lecture "Introduction into the monastic Buddhist art of India and Tibet". We will examine, analyze and study in detail some specimen of religious Indian and Tibetan art. We will further discuss critically the relevant literature and scientific publications and try to rethink and reconsider certain theories and ideas.

Grade:
For a grade in this course, students are required to read the relevant literature, prepare an oral presentation on an artifact discussed in the lecture or a scientific text (ca. 20 min.), submit a handout for the presentation and participate in discussions
