Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Already since the 19th century, but increasingly since the 1960s, the mobility of the autonomous, tendentially commodified work of art has been countered by various forms of attachment to the site. The seminar illuminates the history and transformation of site-specific practices on the basis of theoretical texts and individual case studies that trace the development of the paradigm from links to the genre of the monument to architectural interventions to performative and ephemeral interventions.
