Aims, contents and method of the course
You will get to know the city's art and architecture, the collections of Vienna's museums and the local art scene better. You will practice grasping artworks in their materiality and their concrete spatial and institutional context. You will contribute your own observations and questions to a discussion led by the group. You will practice formulating the joint observations in writing and you will give feedback on texts by other participants.

Exkursionen sind prüfungsimmanente Lehrveranstaltungen, in denen die aktive Mitarbeit in Form von mündlichen und schriftlichen Beiträgen bewertet wird.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Minimum requirements:
- Interest in modern and contemporary art and architecture
- Interest in active exchange in the group
- Willingness to provide detailed, critical peer feedback on texts by other participants
- Mandatory attendance. In case of absence due to illness or exceptional family circumstances, written proof must be provided.
- All course requirements must be met in order to successfully complete the course.
