Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The Fallstudie focuses on the changing economic and social framework conditions for princely art patronage from the 17th century to our present day. The Liechtenstein family will serve as a case study for several reasons: first of all, the “products” of the artistic patronage can be examined in situ and an abundance of sources is available. Within the Fallstudie we will visit the Gartenpalais and the Stadtpalais Liechtenstein, as well as the exhibition “Rubens to Makart – Liechtenstein. The Princely Collections“ on show at the Albertina.
