Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This seminar will focus on the influence of topographical and climatic conditions on architecture. Besides general questions concerning the building site, construction materials and building forms, we will analyze in particular the difference between two cultural landscapes of the Peloponnese Peninsula, namely the Argolis and the Mani. Students will gain an understanding of fundamental concepts, building types, ways of construction and developments.
