Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Kultur ist eines der Schlüsselkonzepte der Europäischen Ethnologie, das Gegenstand dauernder Diskussion und zugleich disziplinär konstitutiv ist. Die Lehrveranstaltung bietet eine Einführung in ausgewählte Theorien zu Kultur und Gesellschaft und vermittelt wissenschaftshistorische wie auch neuere kulturtheoretische Positionen und Perspektiven, u.a. Cultural Studies, praxeologische Kulturtheorie, Writing Culture, ANT, Diskursanalyse etc.

Assessment and permitted materials

Die Lehrveranstaltung ist prüfungsimmanent; kontinuierliche Anwesenheit, aktive Mitarbeit, schriftliche Diskussionsbeiträge, Referat mit Thesenpapier, zwei schriftliche Arbeitsaufgaben.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Einführung in Kultur- und Gesellschaftstheorien, Umgang mit zentralen Begriffen und Thesen sowie Diskussion und Kritik.

Examination topics

Vortrag durch die Dozentin, Referate, Diskussion in Kleingruppen und Plenum; Tutorium von Karola Lorber ist fakultativ, wird jedoch dringend empfohlen (Termine folgen).
