Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Studying the (changing) role of sculpture in Nauman's work from the mid-1960s until 1990.
Assessment and permitted materials
Participation in discussions, oral presentation and, most important of all, an art historical paper (of 25 pages meeting common art historical standards).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Supporting students on the way to one of their final BA-papers or MA seminar-papers.
Examination topics
Critical encounter structuralist und dialectical models of doing art history.
Reading list
While some important titles will be indicated at the beginning of the course, most of the literature will be researched by the individual students themselves.
