VORSICHT: Um entfallende Termine (26. Oktober, 2. November...) ersetzen zu können, wird die LV an vier Tagen, nämlich dem 9. November, 16. Novmber, 23. November und 7. Dezember als Doppelstunde abgehalten (bis 18h). Selbstverständlich besteht auch bei diesen Ersatzterminen Anwesenheitspflicht.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The focus will be on Goya's graphic work.

Assessment and permitted materials

Participation in discussions, oral presentation and, most important of all, an art historical paper (of 25 pages meeting common art historical standards). All means of scholarly research are welcome, and there is, of course, a ban on plagiarism.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Participants should be able to do art historical research, ask relevant questions and solve them, give art historical talks and present well-argued and well-written papers.

Examination topics

This is a seminar, so there will be no exam.

Werner Hofmann: Goya. Vom Himmel durch die Welt zur Hölle. München: Beck 2003.

Eine Auswahl wichtiger Titel wird bei der Vorbesprechung bekannt gegeben.
