Aims, contents and method of the course

Even though writing is one of the key competencies for art historians the teaching of scientific writing methods is treated with little or no importance at most universities. Frustration and writer's block are a frequent result.

Assessment and permitted materials

Assessment: grades will be based on contribution in class as well as the various short papers that have to be produced over the semester.

Prerequisites: completed first part of the degree course.
