Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
As a tool for answering technical questions, techniques of scientific work and writing form the basis for systematic and comprehensible research. The course offers an introduction to theoretical foundations of scientific research, methods of literature research, bibliography and citation of sources, basics of scientific text production and reception of various types of text, topic finding, development of research questions in the European-ethnological context, (gender-sensitive) scientific language as well as concept, design and structure of scientific empirical work.The contents of the course are developed through reading and participative learning, deepened through literature research, citation, reading and writing exercises and discussions. A fictitious research exposé must be submitted at the end of the semester. The course will be accompanied by a tutorial.The aim is to get an overview of important areas of scientific work and writing as well as to get to know and practice the implementation of scientific techniques.

Examination immanent course.

Examination topics
Exercises for literature research, citation, reading and writing in the form of written contributions, active participation as well as central features of scientific working methods by means of fictional research exposé with submission to the end of the lecture.
