Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Artist as diverse as Max Bill, Dieter Roth, Lygia Clark, Dan Graham or Stan Douglas have been interested in the topology of the Moebius strip, interpreting it as a model of subjectivity and aesthetic experience. In the course, we will analyze and compare some significant examples of that interest, discussing them in the context of a long standing fascination with topological motives and structures to be found in twentieth century art.
