Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

On the basis of objects of the Archaeological Collection of the Institute of Classical Archaeology the describing of ancient pottery will be exercised. The focus will lie upon Greek vases, their forms and representation.

Assessment and permitted materials

Continuous active participation; oral and written tasks.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Learning of fundamental archaeological methods and their terminology. Self dependend handling with vases as archaeological references and questions on the basis of the stated methods.

Examination topics

Discribing, typology, style analysis.
