Aims, contents and method of the course

Für Konstantinopel als Handelsplatz als auch für die Versorgung der Reichshauptstadt und ihre Verteidigung waren die Häfen am Marmarameer und am Goldenen Horn von großer Bedeutung. Die Lehrveranstaltung befasst sich mit ihrer Lage, den Bezeichnungen und der historischen Entwicklung.

Referat und schriftliche Seminararbeit von ca. 20 Seiten.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Examination topics

Auswertung der einschlägigen Quellen und der Fachliteratur speziell zur Historischen Topographie.

Griechisch-Kenntnisse auf Maturaniveau sind Voraussetzung für eine Teilnahme.
