Aims, contents and method of the course

Konstantinos Kavafis (1863-1933) ist einer der meistbekannten und meistübersetzten griechischen Lyriker der Neuzeit. Das Seminar nimmt sein Werk als Anlass, um über Themen der Übersetzung, Adaption und Rezeption zu diskutieren.

Assessment and permitted materials

Prüfungsimmanente Lehrveranstaltung, Lektüre in der Gruppe, Referat, schriftliche Arbeit.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Englisch und Deutsch werden vorausgesetzt, Neugriechischkenntnisse von Vorteil. Anwesenheitspflicht, regelmäßige Vorbereitung und Diskussionsteilnahme, Lektüre und Referat (30-45 Min.) 50%; schriftliche Arbeit am Ende des Semesters, c.a. 6000 Wörter, 50%.
